YUHAN (LIZ) ZHONG
Growing Up Together, Founder
Doctoral Student, Harvard Graduate School of Education
Yuhan (Liz) Zhong is a doctoral student at Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is the founder of Growing Up Together, a non-profit program that support Chinese rural left-behind children’s connection with their migrant worker parents during prolonged family separation. Her team provides free workshops for migrant worker parents and rural educators. Yuhan’s connection with the Simple Interaction Tool began in the summer of 2019, when she had her first conversation with Junlei. This conversation laid the foundation for her work with separated rural families. By focusing on everyday long-distance interactions, especially those that help children feel cared for, Yuhan has identified many quality practices from separated families, which she uses to support other families in similar situations.
