AMELEA NG, M.Ed.
Early Educator, Western Avenue Children's Center Research Coordinator, Developmental Interactions Lab, One Village One Preschool Amelea Ng is a researcher and practitioner in human development and education. She is currently an Early Educator at Western Avenue Children’s Center in Boston, MA, where she provides care for infants, toddlers, and preschool students, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. In the classroom, she explores projects with children that include climbing stairs, understanding emotions, and discussing why jaguars don’t live in Boston.
Outside the center, Amelea works as a Research Coordinator at the Developmental Interactions Lab for the One Village One Preschool Project, which supports pre-service ECE teachers’ professional development in rural China. She also assists graduate students in their M.Ed journeys as a Teaching Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Before her current role in ECE, Amelea taught Second Grade and led outdoor education courses for adolescents in Kampar, Malaysia. She earned her Master’s in Education in Human Development and Education from HGSE in 2023 and a B.A. in Classics from Reed College in 2017. |
